My name is Emi (eh-me), and this is my lens-based blog where you’ll find concert photography, interviews, album reviews and other music-related things I want to share and ramble on.

I am first and foremost a metalhead, so expect most of my content to be mainly focused on rock, metal, alternative and indie music and most of their subgenres. HOWEVER, I do listen to everything and my camera will take me anywhere – so there will be content for everybody!

As an NYC-based bacon egg and cheese rat, I will mainly be covering music shows and festivals in NYC, Long Island and New Jersey since those are the most accessible to me. But the dream is to one day fly out and cover festivals like Ozzfest, Sick New World, Coachella, Warped Tour and other festivals.

Here are some fun facts about me:

Bands/artists I can’t live without: Muse, Deftones, Chevelle, Loathe, Killswitch Engage, System of a Down, Placebo, Slipknot, Lacuna Coil, In This Moment, Smashing Pumpkins, Avatar, Flyleaf, Mitski, Cuco, Epica, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Gojira

My first ever concert: In This Moment with Of Mice & Men and Avatar at the Playstation Theater in Times Square (2017) – I was already a fan of In This Moment and Avatar, but I came out an Of Mice & Men fan here and even covered their song, “Pain.”

Favorite concert: Killswitch Engage at Terminal 5 (2022) – I experienced some of the most disgusting mosh pits here. This was actually my second time going to a Killswitch Engage concert but my first time seeing them. But that will be a story for another day.
